The Hundegger HM-D Planer

The Hundegger HM-D planer is an automated four-sided sizing and surfacing machine. Using the unique Tersa® head technology, the HM-D can clean up and square timbers up to 11" x 16" and down to 9/16" x 1-13/16". Tersa planer heads use a revolutionary centrifugal clamping method for the planer knives. This permits higher RPM and consequently increased feed and improved cutting quality. Hundegger's computerized sizing module allows you to get your timber exact not just close. Hundegger K2i customer find the HM-D to be perfect for pre planing and post planing. Working in tandom you can straighten and square up your timbers prior to the K2i and then finish them with a final touch up that makes them nearly an S4S quality after they have been run through the Hundegger K2i.

And with the chamfer module the HM-D can ease all four corners from 1/8" up to ¾".

Hundegger has taken the experience and "know how" that we have accumulated in building more than 2,300 machines and has always tried to incorporate customer feed back.

HM-400
Hundegger has now developed the HM-400! By upgrading the HM-D, increasing the motors and re-designing the cutting tables the new planer can now take off more wood in a single pass than before. Up to ½" of wood can be removed in one pass with the new Hundegger HM-400.

HM-625
For those customers that needed to plane BIGGER timbers and beams the Hundegger HM-625 can plane 24" wide lumber.
